About this blog

Welcome to 'Craft with Jack'.
This is a blog dedicated to kids' craft projects ..no needle point, baking or mothering tips included! There won't be any over-stylised model photos..it's a 'real', practical and useful guide with the models made by myself or the students themselves. It's also about using accessible, recyclable materials and making a great idea easier and more convenient. If you'd like ideas for kids' or classroom craft projects, I hope you find what you're looking for here.
Projects are labelled by theme and material and feature 'classic ideas' (sometimes amended with tips to simplify and to make life easier) or ideas I thought up that worked well. Also, popular and classic craft ideas can be found in a list of websites that I have found useful, which are included at the bottom of this page.
Instructions/lesson plans are provided and some include step-by-step photos, stencils and video tutorials (an acknowledgement should go to TV programmes such as 'Hartbeat', 'Blue Peter', etc for the video inspiration!). It's worth checking out some of the video tutorials if only to see me knock things over and run out of glue (this is a realistic guide..it was all planned, of course!).
I'll be updating projects every couple of weeks and add extra material around festivals, such as Christmas, Easter, etc. And please send any ideas or comments you have about the blog. I hope you find it practical, enjoyable and a little bit inspirational too. Thanks.
