Stencil: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6Ak_SGbjeorNjdqRWpTSkk3cmM/edit

Stage 1
-Cut out the stencil (if you choose to use it) and draw around it on the A4 card twice
-Cut the two images out

Stage 2
-Glue one side of each star and stick to the shiny paper (you could do this for both sides, but it's not necessary)
-Cut out

Stage 3
-On one star, cut a slit in the centre from the bottom to the middle point of the star
-On the other star, cut a slit in the centre from the top to the middle point of the star
-Place the stars next to each other, horizontally flat, so the cut-out points (at the top of the first and bottom of the second, are touching)
-Turn one star vertically and push the stars together, using the cut-out slits to connect together

Stage 4
-You now have your 3D star. Take apart. You can now draw an outline and add decoration
-Put back together and attach the string at the top if you want to hang it or simply stand it upright
